At Fahl, we are deeply committed to protecting your personal privacy and securing the data you trust us with while using the Fahl application. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how it is handled, and your choices regarding data retention.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted passwords. This information is used strictly to secure your identity.

Financial & Asset Data (Local Room Database)

To calculate your zakat, the application tracks vault details (including cash balances, bank accounts, weight and carats of gold jewelry/assets), transaction histories, haul cycles, and payment statuses. This database is stored locally on your device in a secure Room DB.

Device Information

We collect generic technical metrics including your Android operating system version, device model, and current app version to monitor performance stability.

Media & File Access

We request media library and external storage permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, etc.) only to allow you to upload transaction receipts or customize your profile picture.

Location Services

Fahl does **not** track, record, or request access to your device's GPS location under any circumstances.

3. How Data is Collected

Data is gathered directly from user inputs during registration, transaction logging, active budget setups, and purchase verification logs returned securely by Google Play Billing when unlocking premium features.

4. Purpose of Data Collection

We process your information for the following specific purposes:

  • Providing user authentication and secure profile setups.
  • Executing historical gold rate conversions and multi-method haul calculations.
  • Synchronizing calculations securely to the API server to generate history graphs.
  • Sending push notifications, reminders, and draft alerts.
  • Monitoring app stability, error logs, and performance metrics.

5. Payment Processing

All premium payments are processed securely by Google Play Billing. Fahl does not collect, read, or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank account details. We only access tokenized validation status logs to verify active premium access.

6.Data Storage & Hosting

Your financial transactions are saved in a local Room database directly on your device. Account profile records and synchronized audit backups are hosted securely on cloud databases, with all transmissions protected by robust HTTPS/TLS encryption protocols.

7. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with critical service providers necessary to operate Fahl: Google Play Billing (for premium check), our secure cloud hosting provider, and automated email services for OTP verification or password reset links.

8.Cookies & Local Tracking

We utilize local unique device identifiers and secure tokens on your device. These act as session cookies to keep you logged in and preserve internal performance stability without tracking your web activities outside of the Fahl app.

9. Data Retention Policy

Account data is retained as long as your account remains active. You can wipe your local database instantly at any time by selecting "Clear App Data" or "Clear Storage" in your Android settings. Server backups and credentials are deleted permanently when you submit an account deletion request.

10. Your Rights

You hold full control of your data. You have the right to view your account details, edit your name and passwords, wipe local storage files, and request complete, permanent deletion of your profile from our backup databases.

11. Security Measures

We use secure HTTPS/TLS encryption to prevent data interception during transmission. Additionally, local databases are isolated under Android OS system-level sandbox security to prevent unauthorized access by other installed applications.

12.Children's Privacy

Fahl is not designed for or targeted to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.

13. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. If updates occur, you will be notified of changes directly via in-app alerts or announcements on our main webpage.
